Guest Instructors

Each year we are fortunate to have guest instructors from Japan and from other regions within Australia. Since the opening of the first Chito-Ryu dojo on the Sunshine Coast in 2000, guest instructors from Japan have included:

• Soke Sensei (Supreme Instructor of the International Chito-Ryu Karate-do Federation) in 2005 & 2007
• Tanaka Sensei (Chito-Ryu Sohonbu Technical Director) in 2003, 2006 &2008
• Naoyuki Chitose Sensei (Soke Sensei's eldest son and future Chito-Ryu Soke) 2006
• Keiichiro Oda Sensei (Assistant Instructor) Jun-Aug 2005.

We look forward to similar visits in the years to come as we continue to build the strong relationship with our international headquarters in Kumamoto, Japan.

Additionally, we have guest instructors from various regions who visit and teach on a regular basis. Particularly around the time of the Sunshine Coast Regional Tournament, which our local association hosts each year during the Queen's Birthday long weekend in June. During this time, we are fortunate to have instructors and students converge upon our dojo from from nearly every region in Australia where there is a Chito-Ryu dojo.
